Beat The Clock Membership-Building Program
Program Dates: May 1 – June 30
Toastmasters are taught to run meetings on time, finish speeches on time and reach membership goals on time. In that spirit, ‘Beat the Clock’ is a great motivator for finishing the year on schedule—on time and with record numbers!
The goal for your club is to earn the ‘Beat the Clock’ award! Make this a contest in your club to encourage every member to get involved. Clubs adding five new, dual or reinstated members during May and June receive a ‘Beat the Clock’ ribbon to display on the club’s banner. In addition to the ribbon, qualifying clubs earn a special discount code for 10-percent off their next club order. (The discount code expires six months from the date of issue and is not valid with any other offer.)
Applications and payments for members who join between May 1 and June 30 must be received at World Headquarters or online no later than June 30. Each member’s join date as listed on the application must be for May or June. The addition of transfer and charter members does not count toward ‘Beat The Clock Award’ credit.
Toastmasters International will announce the winning clubs online within a few weeks of the contest ending. Winning clubs should allow up to 10 business days to receive their award from Toastmasters International.
Visit District 56 Incentive page for additional incentives.

Event Details
Annual office terms must run from July 1 through June 30; semiannual terms must run from July 1 through December 31 and January 1 through June 30. Clubs that meet weekly may elect officers annually or semiannually. Clubs that meet less frequently than weekly must elect officers annually, with the elections in May.
When your club has elected new officers, the current president or secretary should submit their names and contact information to World Headquarters online through Club Central. At an absolute minimum, a club must have a President, Secretary and one VP role (VPE preferred) filled for the club to be recognized. It is strongly recommended to fill all Club Officer roles.
If your club is not able to submit its officer list online, you can complete and submit the Club and Officer Information Form. Submit one copy to your club for its records and one copy to World Headquarters via email or fax at +1 303-799-7753 .
Deadlines for all submission types are June 30 for annual elections and June 30 and December 31 for semiannual elections.
